Precision Erasing

Precision Erasing

In the previous lesson, we used Shift while drawing to work in half steps. The same idea applies in erase mode. Hold Shift while erasing to remove strokes in smaller pieces instead of clearing a whole cell at once.

With Shift held, the first key press erases half of the stroke in that direction. Press the same direction again to remove the other half and move forward. This makes it easier to trim line ends, open small gaps, and adjust shapes without changing more than we intend.
